March 9, 2013 - RJ lost his first tooth (bottom left at the front) at 6 years and 4 months old. The whole family was so excited for you! It was right after dinner when dad pulled your tooth out. Mom did not have the courage :P Instead, my role was to take pictures and videos of you. You are so cute with your missing tooth. Another milestone that reminds me of how fast you are growing. You got 10 yuan from the tooth fairy when you woke up the day after. Now, you are no longer afraid of losing another tooth... you are now looking forward to the next visit by the tooth fairy.
Richard at 3 years and 3 months - at the start of March, you decided that you do not want to wear your diapers at night anymore. True to your word, you did not wet your pants. n the past month you only had 1 little accident. We are amazed at how you were able to do it at such a young age. Every morning if you do not wet your pants Mom would give you 1 yuan, you have already collected a small fortune. What am I going to do with all our diaper stash? :)
March 26, 2013 - RJ - You scored the highest and had a perfect score on your ESL exam. We are all so proud of you! You are also learning to play the piano quite well. We enjoy listening to your music. You have mastered "Lightly Row" and "French Children" just in the past 2 or 3 weeks.
The other day, Mom asked you to turn off the light before going to bed. You tripped on the way to bed and hurt your lip and gums badly. Mom felt really bad and told you that I will not make you turn off the light again since you cannot see. Instead I will turn off the light myself. Despite of your pain and blood, you said "No, but you might fall down too". You have such compassion and a big heart. We are so blessed to have you in our lives.
Richard - You enjoy sounding out your letters and reading simple words. At 3 years and 2 months you already know how to read a lot of words. You have this big grin on your face each time you are able to read a word. You look so proud and we are so proud of you too. I think you will be an early reader just like your brother.
The other day, I was telling RJ about the colors of the rainbow... teaching him ROY G BIV. The next day, you told me that you want to color a rainbow and you knew all the colors by heart. I was amazed!
What warms my heart the most is seeing how well you play with each other and love each other. Richard looks forward to RJ coming home from school each day and RJ looks forward to playing with Richard. When Mom or Dad gets mad at RJ, Richard always goes to his defense. RJ protects his brother at the playground and is always very gentle and lowing towards him. You are indeed each others best friend and I hope that you continue to be that way.
